Junior Professorship in 'Consumer Behavior’
The School of Business and Economics invites applications for a Junior Professorship in 'Consumer Behavior’
from 01 October 2019. This is a W2 tenure track position. In order to verify whether the individual performance meets the requirements of a permanent employment, an evaluation process will be opened not later than five years of service. The professorship will be funded by the „Bund-Länder-Programm zur Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses“.The aim of the programme is to pave the way for a secure career in academia for early stage researchers. Tenure track professors at the HU Berlin are expected to carry out research and teach, as well as be active on various university committees and acquire leadership and management skills. The professorship conducts research and teaching in business administration with a special focus on consumer behavior. In teaching it is expected to support the bachelor and master degree programs as well the PhD program with courses related to consumer behavior. The research should focus on the behavior of consumers with modern quantitative methods and/or methods from behavioral decision theory. It is expected that the research will be published in international top journals. The candidate is expected to possess the ability to perform research at the highest international standards. In order to assess these abilities, the search committee requests a concise research statement in which the candidate presents future goals in research.
The applicants must meet the legal requirements for professorial appointments in accordance with § 102 a of the ‘Berliner Hochschulgesetz’.
