As part of the DFG-funded project Strukturelle Bedingungen von Gerechtigkeitseinstellungen über den Lebensverlauf (for short LINOS for Legitimation of Inequalities over the Life-span), a workshop will take place on 13th and 14th of September, 2018 at the DIW premises.
The workshop will focus on the first two waves of an employee panel, which is surveyed in the context of the LINOS project. Supplemented by linked administrative data from the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nürnberg, the survey enables a longitudinal view on justice attitudes over the life course, taking into account detailed information about the embedding of respondents into social contexts (project description).
The workshop offers national and international scientists a forum to gain first insights into the methods and results of the LINOS survey and to discuss current work on empirical justice research. On the first day of the workshop, the data of the project will be introduced, supported by contributions on outcome- and order-related attitudes towards justice from cross- and longitudinal perspectives. The second day shows further perspectives of data usage by discussing methodological research with LINOS data and administrative data as well as contributions from experimental justice research. Furthermore, the role of personal networks for justice attitudes is discussed. The workshop concludes with some remarks on access to LINOS data and the possibilities of future research collaborations.
The workshop language is English.
